Lodge Kerrigan

Lodge Kerrigan wrote, produced and directed his first feature, Clean, Shaven (1994), which played over 30 international film festivals, including Cannes (Un Certain Regard), Sundance and New Directors / New Films at MOMA in New York City. It has been exhibited at the Hirschhorn Museum (the Smithsonian Institution), the American Museum of the Moving Image and was included in the “Best Of The Independents” series at the Anthology Film Archives, New York City. In addition, it was screened at the 1995 annual convention of the A.P.A. (the American Psychiatric Association.) It was the winner of numerous awards, including an Independent Spirit Award, and was included in several “Best Films of the Year” lists, including Film Comment (Chris Chang), Daily News (David Kehr), Rolling Stone (Peter Travers) and Village Voice (Amy Taubin). It was theatrically released worldwide.

In 1998, Lodge wrote and directed his second feature, Claire Dolan, starring the late Katrin Cartlidge, Vincent D’Onofrio and Colm Meany. It was produced by Marin Karmitz and Ann Ruark for MK2 Productions. It screened in the main competition at the 1998 Cannes Film Festival and was theatrically released worldwide; in France by MK2. The winner of numerous awards, it was included in several “Best Films of the Year” lists, including the Chicago Sun-Times (Roger Ebert) and New York Observer (Andrew Sarris).

Lodge wrote and directed his third feature, Keane, which was completed in 2004. Starring Damian Lewis (“Band of Brothers”), it was executive produced by Academy Award winner Steven Soderbergh (“Ocean’s 12”, “Traffic”). It screened at the Director’s Fortnight at Cannes in 2005 and won the Special Jury Prize and the International Critics’ Prize at the 2005 Deauville Film Festival. It was theatrically released worldwide; in France by A.R.P. It has been included in numerous “Best Films of the Year” lists around the world, including the New York Times (Manohla Dargis), Chicago Sun-Times (Roger Ebert), New York Observer (Andrew Sarris), Los Angeles Times (Kevin Thomas), Rolling Stone (Peter Travers), Elle (Karen Durbin), Village Voice (Michael Atkinson and Dennis Lim), Libération and Time Out London (Tom Charity).

In addition to filmmaking, Lodge has shot fashion for Purple and Libération Style publications.
